He Loves Me is a four-and-a-half-hour durational performance that was developed in the workshop “Dissenting Bodies Marking Time” with Marilyn Arsem and performed as part of Venice International Performance Art Week in 2020. The main action of this performance is sitting at a table and picking petals, one by one, off of chrysanthemums, tulips, and roses for almost five hours. As audience members enter the space, I pause briefly to acknowledge them with eye contact.
It was reimagined as a performance for camera and presented at the 2021 edition of Art Souterrain.
